10 Honeymoon Locations

My Top 10 Honeymoon Locations

If you’re looking for some ideas on where to go on your honeymoon I decided to compile a list of my most requested locations to help you out! Below you’ll find a list of 10 locations that I book most often for dream honeymoons.

St. Lucia - St. Lucia is one of the most romantic locations in the Caribbean! This super popular spot has incredible beaches, hotels, and stunning views of the Piton Mountains! With year-round temperatures between 70 and 90 degrees so you can’t go wrong here. The landscapes alone, amazing views from top hotels(infinity pools in some!), and many amazing excursions draw honeymooners here.

Bora Bora - Who hasn’t heard of wanting to visit Bora Bora for their honeymoon? From overwater bungalows, crystal clear lagoons, stunning beaches, an all-inclusive hotel option, snorkeling, whale and shark diving, swimming with turtles, and gorgeous helicopter rides with views for days, this location is a dream. Also, it’s remote location really draws honeymooners to get away from it all to be together and focus on one another.

Maldives - Like many other locations on this list the Maldives have that crystal clear water and remote location that people are looking for. It has overwater bungalows, great temperatures year-round, and in some parts, amazing surfing! This location is definitely not for those on a budget - with 5-star luxury resorts and a long-haul flight you’ll be pressed to spend quite a bit to get here and stay. But once you arrive you’re treated like royalty and will never forget the experience. Diving in this area is one of a kind and world renowned. The best time to visit is December through April for their dry season.

Fiji - Fiji can be available for just about any budget. The most expensive thing will be your flight to arrive there. It’s gorgeous turquoise waters, lush landscape, and unforgettable sunsets make this one of the most romantic places for honeymooners. They’re also known for the black pearl! This is one of the only locations in the world where you can grab a strand of your very own black pearls. Head to Savusavu for the best pearl shopping. Fiji is great for adventure seekers, from hiking to see waterfalls, rivers, beautiful views, head to one of the largest collections of orchids, and even experience natural wildlife excursions as well. The Fijian culture is one to be celebrated, you can admire the incredible Beqa fire walkers (an ancient warrior ritual), and even partake in a Lovo feast where the buffet of food is cooked for hours under the ground with hot rocks!

Hawaii - Hawaii basically has it all. Gorgeous sunsets, romantic beaches, adventurous hikes, watersports, perfect little beach towns, cocktails, great food, and beautiful history. No matter which island you choose you’re going to have an amazing time and the atmosphere is going to welcome you. If you head this way be sure to take in, admire, and learn about their ancient culture.

Walt Disney World - For the child at heart Disney is just a fun place to be. You can make this an all-inclusive experience and stay at some of the top hotels in the US. Besides the theme park experience, Disney actually offers some really amazing adult experiences from cooking classes, world class golf, wine tasting, private yacht tours with dessert parties, spas, bike rides, fishing, and even surfing lessons! Basically anywhere you go on location, if you’re wearing a pin that says you’re celebrating your honeymoon, or if you’re wearing your Mickey and Minnie Ears the cast members around the park will be congratulating you the whole time you’re there. It’s not just for kids!

Amalfi Coast - The Italian coast is something you just have to experience. The people are really what make it so special. There’s plenty to do but the views on the coast of the towns built into the hills, and their beaches are a site to behold. The food is not to be missed either. Fresh catches every day and yummy wine to accompany it. You can find yourself just strolling around, going for a hike, having a cooking class, wine tasting, relaxing in your private villa, and enjoying the sunset.

Paris - It’s considered one of the most romantic cities in the world and couples flock here during the months of June through August with long warm days. It’s a city of history and culture, food, and fantastic architecture. There are loads of things to do in this city from cruising the Seine River, kissing on the Eiffel Tower, visiting the Louvre, to taking in a racy show at the Moulin Rouge. Those experiences alone will make this trip memorable.

Bali - If you’re looking for exotic and all things culture then Bali is the place! Volcanoes, rice fields, rainforests, elephants, and the colorful culture are what draw many couples to Bali. It’s also quite easy to reach and easy to get around in. AND it’s great once you arrive for your wallet. The flight will cost a bit to get there and will take quite a while if you’re going from the east coast of the US but once you get there you won’t want to leave.

Santorini - Santorini has the iconic white buildings with blue tops and stunning views of the water from every angle. It’s the perfect location for quiet romance by the sea and if you’re on the adventurous side you can experience hiking, wine tasting, and hot springs!!! Don’t forget to take a sunset catamaran cruise!
